Gaming News Update 12/07/07

What do you want this holiday season?

With Hanukah here and Christmas coming in a couple of weeks; what soon to be released games should you put on your want list?  Why don’t we start with Blacksite: Area 51 (PS3, Teen) which is being released on December 10th.  This first person shooter game takes you through the once top secret government compound Area 51 in Rachel, Nevada.  You will be the leader of platoon of soldiers that will try and save earth from invading alien forces.  The game play is fast and fierce as you and your men are the last time for mankind on earth.  Heavily advertised lately on TV, it will be interesting to see if the hype matches the overall satisfaction of gamers.

If sports games are more your cup of choice; NCAA March Madness 2008 (X360, PS3, PS2, Rating Pending) hits shelves on December 11th.  With this new edition of the college basketball game, EA sports has upgraded and fine tuned the arenas, player models, court details and have even added form fitted uniforms.  For those sports gamers with the Nintendo Wii, Showtime Championship Boxing (Wii, Everyone) is also available on December 11th.  Gamers will be able to fight in four different locations with 14 different fighters in their quest to become a title holder.

Do you want to showcase your driving skills?  Then ask for one of these two upcoming releases.  Indianapolis 500 Legends (Wii, Rating Pending) and MX vs. ATV: Untamed (X360, PS3, PS2, DS, PSP, Everyone) will be in stores the week of December 17th.  Rainbow Studios has turned MX vs. ATV into a nitro based racing game featuring power slides, near upside down whips and other new features that make the replay value high on this game.  If you prefer the paved tracks; Indianapolis 500 Legends lets you choose between 30 different racing legends and even includes mini games based in the pits.

Whatever game type is your choice there are definitely a lot of choices this holiday season.  If you haven’t found what you’re looking for so far…..stay tuned next week and we will showcase the top games available for each system.
